Usher/Ticket Taker (Part time/Seasonal)

Department: Guest and Security Services

Hours: Must be able to work flexible hours, primarily evening and weekend shifts           including some holidays

POSITION SUMMARY:

Usher/Ticket Taker is responsible for the delivery of quality service and positive interaction with our customers that exceeds their expectations during BMO Harris Bradley Center events. Assist with public relations by maintaining proper image and generating positive public perception by maximizing positive guest experiences. Primary duties are to welcome guests, check tickets, and assist guests to their seats.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enthusiastically greet each guest with an energetic and courteous attitude; display a fan-friendly and professional appearance at all times
  • Scan each guest’s ticket separately and ensure it is the appropriate ticket for that event
  • Direct and/or escort guests to their sections/seats; assist guests with special needs  
  • Respond to guest concerns and inquiries; provide guests with accurate event and arena information
  • Monitor assigned areas and guest behavior in order to identify and resolve issues
  • Identify and respond to emergencies and notify supervisor of potential problems that are or might be of concern to our guests
  • Assist in emergency evacuation procedures

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous ushering experience in an arena/stadium environment preferred but not required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must enjoy working with a variety of people and have a service-oriented approach
  • Must be able to walk or stand for the duration of the shift, climb steps and perform duties in low-lighting situations
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs. unaided
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, including work-related safety rules, and apply them to work environment
  • Enthusiasm for working and participating in an exciting, team-oriented workplace
