MILWAUKEE (October 4, 2017) – After a sold-out first week of MELODRAMA WORLD TOUR dates in the UK, it was announced today that rap duo RUN THE JEWELS will join the tour’s much-awaited North American leg as direct support for LORDE.  The news arrives just after a hugely-successful launch last week, when Lorde played to sold-out crowds across the UK, including an audience of over 10,000 fans at London’s Alexandra Palace.  Described by The Guardian as, “the sort of gig whose gaps are filled with screamed adulation,” and hailed as, “entrancing from first to last,” by the Manchester Evening News, Lorde’s Melodrama World Tour has already garnered overwhelming praise from critics, with Birmingham Mail declaring it, “a show that feels like a genuine privilege,” and The Independent crowning the performance simply as, “a perfect live show.”

Described by Rolling Stone as, “Hip Hop’s Most Intense Truth-Tellers,” RUN THE JEWELS, the pair consisting of Killer Mike and El-P, will bring their high-energy live show to fans beginning March 1st in Milwaukee, WI, the first of over 30 North American dates for Lorde.  In addition to Run the Jewels’ direct support slot, TOVE STYRKE will join as a special guest opener for the first half of dates and MITSKI will join to support the latter half (full details below).

Following her massive headlining set this summer at Bumbershoot, Lorde will make her return to Seattle, announcing an additional tour stop on March 9th at Seattle’s KeyArena at Seattle Center.  Tickets for the newly-announced date will be available to the general public on Friday, October 6th at 10am local time.  For more information and to view all upcoming Melodrama World Tour dates, please visit https://lorde.co.nz/tour.

Currently, Lorde’s remix of "Homemade Dynamite (feat. Khalid, Post Malone & SZA)” is dominating streaming services. In only two weeks since its release, it has garnered over 25 million global streams and has entered Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

About the BMO Harris Bradley Center
The BMO Harris Bradley Center, in Milwaukee, Wis., was built through the generosity of the late Jane Bradley Pettit in memory of her father, Harry Lynde Bradley, co-founder and chairman of the Allen-Bradley Company (now Rockwell Automation). The Center is the only major, public assembly facility in North America with construction underwritten through the philanthropy of a single family. Opened in 1988, the BMO Harris Bradley Center is home to the NBA Milwaukee Bucks and the Marquette Golden Eagles NCAA men’s basketball team. It hosts an estimated 1.5 million people each year and continues to be the No. 1 entertainment destination in Downtown Milwaukee. The Center – celebrating its 30th and final season – will close its doors for good in summer 2018 when the new Milwaukee Bucks arena opens.
