special event announcement: Flat Out Friday


Rider Registration is Open & Tickets are On Sale Now

(MILWAUKEE – December 9, 2016) – Mama Tried Motorcycle Show and Harley-Davidson present Flat Out Friday, an indoor, flat track, motorcycle race, on February 17th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  This event is on sale now and can be purchased at the BMO Harris Bradley Center Ticket Office, at, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

Flat Out Friday is an indoor, flat track, motorcycle race on a Dr. Pepper soda syrup surface. Competing in eleven racing classes, highlights include the Charlotte Kainz Memorial Pro Race, Women's Class and Bultaco Astro Cup. 

The 4th Annual Mama Tried Motorcycle Show, presented by Harley-Davidson, follows on February 18th and 19th, 2017. Events to include Flat Out Friday, the Mama Tried Motorcycle Invitational, the Harley-Davidson Museum’s Mama Tried Pre-Party and an AMA Ice Race.

Registration for all race classes is open to the public. Registration forms and an updated list of registered riders can be found at Registration fees are $35 until February 1st, 2017 and then increase to $50 per rider.

Race classes include Open Amateur, Four Stroke Brakeless, Youth 85, Open Pro, Vintage, Hooligan Class, Boone Bike Class, Goofball/Inappropriate Class, Z125 Pro Cup, Bultaco Astro Cup and the Women’s Class.

Flat Out Friday’s most recent race in October 2016 included American Motorcycle Association Pros Parker Lange, Cole Fealy, Christian Johnson and Dan Jacobson. Hooligan riders included Harley-Davidson riders Scott Jones, Brandon Gonzalez, Mark Atkins and Chris Wiggins arriving from California.

In connection with the Mama Tried Motorcycle Show, Flat Out Friday premiered in February 2016 with a record-breaking crowd of over 8,000. Prior to the inaugural Flat Out Friday, Milwaukee had not witnessed a race of this sort since 1980.
